Roof Ladders

Despite their simple design, ladders are a vital part of many industrial sites, allowing access safely to raised areas and roofs. Ensuring these ladders are properly designed and safe to use is crucial.

When sourcing a ladder, you should consider the following:

  • How often will the ladder be used?
  • Will tools or equipment be carried?
  • Is the ladder the primary/only method of access?
  • Where and how will the ladder be fixed?

Steadfast offers a range of ladders for all requirements, designed and built to the highest standard.

Commercial and Industrial Ladders

Our ladders are constructed of aluminium, suitable for indoor and outdoor use (also available in GRP or galvanised steel). We offer aluminum access ladders that meet BS5395 and BS4211 standards and can be fitted to any wall type that meets their structural requirements. Safety cages on all ladders are over 2.5m as per BS5395 and can be easily modified for any wall type or geometry. Wire mesh can be added to the safety cages to improve their safety.

To restrain unauthorised entry and exit, a lockable door can be provided. Platforms can be added to assist the climbers on and off the ladder and powder coated in RAL colours or bespoke designs.

Commercial and Industrial Concertina Ladders

Ladder can be equipped with exit steps to help users get on and off it. It can also include electronic operation to raise and lower the ladder. Our top operating handle and mechanism make it possible to operate the Concertina Ladder from above as well as below.

The ladders are made of aluminum and comply with BS EN 14975:2006 and A1:2010 standards, and they can be retrofitted on existing hatches. Telescopic safety handrails can be provided on ladders for safer access and egress and can be easily modified to suit any wall type or geometry or height up to 3.7m. An attachment pole is provided with each ladder so the ladder can be pulled down safely from below.
