Operations Co-ordinator

Job title: Operations Co-ordinator
Reporting to:   Operations Manager
Location: Office Based – Ipswich
Salary: Confirmed upon request

 

This role is based in Ipswich working for Steadfast Safety, within the Operations Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend project handovers to gain knowledge of installation portfolio & sequence of install.
  • Liaise with clients to book in operational teams for induction, use of portals to book technicians in on site & upload competencies, as builts, O&M etc.
  • Order project related material via purchase orders for both materials and plant.
  • Compile daily job sheets handed in each day, which are to be scanned and added to project file for review.
  • WhatsApp images of installations to be saved in project folder (Façade access testing being priority)
  • Complete certification and O&M’s for projects as they are completed, issue to client on approval that account is up to date with payments.
  • Compile and creation of system technical files and handover packages
  • Use of main contractor portals to upload handover information, as builts and O&M
  • Maintain calibrated tooling spreadsheets via excel sheet, ensure all tooling is calibrated, serviceable and in date.
  • Assist with Steadfast Installation team audits
  • Assist with Steadfast’s housekeeping audits
  • Assist with Steadfast’s subcontract team audit
  • Complete vehicle maintenance tracker ensuring vehicles are serviceable and well maintained
  • Complete daily DRA tracker
  • Tooling service & PAT testing tracker
  • Ensure the installation team training tracker in maintained and up to date.
  • Update project progress tracker to give a real time view on site progress at any given time
  • Must adhere to H&S requirements and company process and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
  • IOSH or willing to gaining qualification.
  • Face to face or phone customer service experience
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Previous work within a similar industry is preferable
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Relationship management with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook) and CRM tools
  • Knowledge & experience in Fall Protection products (Desirable)
  • Full UK driver’s license is essential
  • Basic understanding of health and safety in a construction/work environment.

Safety Technician (Inspection & testing)

Job title: Safety Technician (Inspection & Testing)

Due to a sustained period of growth and recent modernisation within the business, we’re now looking for experienced inspection and testing safety technician to join the team.

We’re interested in speaking with enthusiastic people from a technical inspections background.  Full product training will be provided so, although helpful, fall protection industry knowledge isn’t essential.

The Ideal candidate would be comfortable with these working locations along with working in all weather conditions, have a proactive, problem-solving mentality and would be prepared to use manual handling where required.

Job Specification

Carrying out recertification/maintenance and product training on sites, as required, throughout the UK.

Job Duties

Recertification of fall protection products on-site, using our state-of-the-art software for the detailing of systems as per inspection requirements.

  • Producing reports and photos of failed systems to enable quoting of replacement parts and systems.
  • Delivery of on-site product training.
  • Delivery of tool box talks for safe working at height.
  • Pro-active on-site sales of any additional products or general lead generation.
  • Installation team inspections and monitoring.
  • Installation/Recertification team PPE inspections as required.
  • Carrying out installations and repairs of systems.
  • Installation of Kee Safety products as and when required.

Trainee Safety Technician

Job title: Trainee Safety Technician
Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Location: Great Blakenham Ipswich

What does this role entail?

Assisting the site supervisor with carrying out the installation and/or inspection on a variety of engineered working at height safety systems. Our main product base is a range of products that protect people whilst working at height, on roof tops or whilst abseiling.

The successful applicant of this ‘Trainee Install Technician’ role, will learn how to install our ever-growing safety product range, safely and confidently. Tasks will vary from day to day. A high percentage of our work is carried out in London on some of the most prestigious developments the construction Industry has to offer currently.

What will you need to be successful?

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in all weather conditions, have a proactive problem-solving mentality and would be prepared to use manual handling where required.

The successful applicant receive all the required training to carry out their duties safely, from working at height training through to MEWPs and the use of specialist handheld tools.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with the loading and checking of materials in preparation of the day’s work ahead.
  • Assist with unloading and arranging for materials to be moved to the required working location.
  • Assist the supervisor in setting & marking out install locations.
  • To take guidance from your supervisor and learn to use work related tools and powered access machinery.
  • Have a ‘pro health & safety’ attitude.
  • To adequately work and communicate with other staff members.
  • Able to adapt and remain flexible to last minute schedule / site changes.
  • An outgoing personality would be well suited to the role, and be able to converse well across all levels whilst ensuring the company is well represented on our projects.
  • Be confident in working at height.
  • Ideally hold a red CSCS card as a minimum. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Be willing to have overnight stays where required.
  • A full driver’s license is required.
